The US Spain Executives Community is a non profit organization founded in Washington DC in 2014 by a group of business people, executives and entrepreneurs. It has around 300 formal members, leaders from the public and private sector located in multiple cities in the US and Spain. Its newsletter and communications reach around 1,000 people. It has been featured by prestigious media multiple times, as shown in these articles by\u00a0El Pais\/Cinco Dias<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0The Washington Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The organization is led by a Board of Directors whose members are shown below. The Board was renewed after the electoral process that took place in February, 2024. Additional members will be included in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

Esther Urios is originally from Madrid, Spain, and has lived in the United States for more than 10 years, currently based in Washington, D.C. She is passionate about strengthening cultural and professional connections between Spain and the United States. Esther holds a degree in Economics from UNC Chapel Hill and an MBA from George Washington University. Her professional experience focuses on strategy and marketing, working with private companies and organizations across both countries. As President of USEC, Esther is committed to strengthening the community, fostering meaningful connections, and creating new opportunities for collaboration between Spanish and U.S. executives and entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Carmen Mu\u00f1oz Vicedo has been based in New York since 2006 and brings more than 25 years of international business experience across Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the United States. She specializes in helping Spanish and international companies enter and grow in the U.S. market, with expertise in international trade, market development, and cross-border expansion. Carmen has worked extensively with companies and organizations navigating the U.S. business environment. As Vice President of USEC, she focuses on strengthening executive networks, fostering mentorship, and creating meaningful opportunities for collaboration between Spanish and U.S. business communities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Alberto Navarro Al\u00e1ez is based in Houston, where he works at the intersection of technology, data, product development, and business strategy. He is an Industrial Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) and holds a Master\u2019s in Management from Georgetown University. Alberto brings experience in global business development and strategy, with previous experience in consulting. He is also involved with several nonprofit organizations in Houston and the Georgetown community. As VP of Finance at USEC, Alberto supports the organization\u2019s financial strategy and sustainable growth while contributing to its mission of strengthening connections between Spanish and U.S. executives and entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Joanna Lario is from Barcelona, Spain, and has lived in the United States for more than a decade, now based in Washington, DC. She is a digital and integrated marketing leader with over 10 years of experience developing brand strategies, creative campaigns, and digital initiatives across sports, art, and entertainment. Her work spans brand strategy, creative campaigns, and integrated marketing initiatives, helping organizations strengthen their brand presence, engage audiences, and drive meaningful growth. Joanna holds an MBA and a BBA in Marketing and Management from Valdosta State University, where she was also a member of the NCAA tennis team. As VP of Marketing at USEC, she leads the organization\u2019s marketing and brand strategy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

J.P. Carroll is an American public affairs and strategic communications professional based in the Washington, D.C. area. He has over 10 years of experience at the intersection of journalism, public policy, international business, and public affairs. He holds an International MBA from IE Business School, a Master of Professional Studies in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from The College of William & Mary and the University of St Andrews. J.P. is a bilingual English and Spanish speaker, and is also fluent in French. As VP of Public Relations at USEC, he focuses on strengthening the organization\u2019s visibility, communications, and connections across the U.S.\u2013Spain business community.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
